Budokan Kanji 3

WELCOME TO BUDOKAN

Budokan  is a multi-discipline Traditional Japanese Budo organisation.

We have a history going back 60 years we wish to share with you.

Come and join us in a vibrant, inclusive Budo Community open to all Dojo Leaders,

wherever you are and whatever discipline you follow and teach.

Let's work together to provide value benefits for all students of Japanese Budo.

This is a completely automated Budo portal that opens the way for Dojo Leaders to reach a wider audience of potential students using the most up to date camera technology and software, that will allow, video on demand and live streaming of classes taking place including instructor and student interaction from our Teaching Platform.

IF YOU RUN A DOJO - GET IN TOUCH - [email protected]  - AND WE WILL DO THE SAME THING FOR YOU ON YOUR DOJO PAGE FOR ALL TO SEE AND SHARE.

Build your own immunity each and every day to

protect  yourself against  viruses and other infections.

GET EVERYONE  YOU KNOW TO EAT FOODS THAT ARE FULL OF ANTIOXIDANTS EVERY DAY  - LIKE FRUIT AND VEGETABLES - TO BUILD AND MAINTAIN A STRONG IMMUNE SYSTEM ALONG WITH A RANGE OF SUPPLEMENTS THAT DO THE SAME - LIKE VITAMINS C AND D, ZINC AND MAGNESIUM

If you don’t regularly suffer from colds and flu-like infections, are active, do enough exercise, get a good nights sleep, are not suffering from disease and you can manage stress in your life - then the likelihood is you have a strong immune system.

BUILD AND MAINTAIN A STRONG IMMUNITY ALL YEAR ROUND

WE BELIEVE TRAINING SHOULD ALWAYS TAKE PLACE WITH QUALIFIED INSTRUCTION  IN A DOJO.

STUDY AND LEARNING NOW ALSO TAKES PLACE ONLINE - 24/7 - LEADING TO MORE TRAINING AT HOME.

BOTH WORK BRILLIANTLY TOGETHER.

MEDITATION CHANGES

THE SPIRIT BY REFLECTION

BUDOKAN DOJO

This series of Kata or Forms were developed by Sensei Passmore between 1973 and 1975,  when he was a 3 Dan as an attempt to provide a series of five soft form Kata that were atrractive and aesthecally appealing to women as a complement to the 5 hard-hitting Pinans.

Budokan students have enjoyed learning and training in them for decades now and they have established themselves as an integral part of it's Karate.

Some people have asked to see them  so we thought we would copy them to the pubic facing side of the site.

THEY ARE UNIQUE TO BUDOKAN.

They are presented as Teaching Kata here - slow - and not performed as Embu.

Go to this page we have made up to see all 5 of them.

BUDOKAN DOJO

Anyone who has trained in any of the disciplines of traditional Japanese Budo know how important it is to get the basics right.

Budokan hold many workshops through any year and here is a snapshot of the last one David Passmore hosted literally days before the first lockdown in March 2020.

Go to the Lymington Dojo Page to find out more about the free Aikido techniques practised there.
